When three unlikely strangers find $2 million in stolen money it sets them on a thrilling adventure dodging criminals, corrupt cops and an embattled US Senator through Houston’s underground. Will they survive the night?

Ridin’ Dirty is a story about the underdogs, those on the fringe of society. It’s about the little guy beating the odds and getting a win. Those are the kind of stories that have called to me throughout my 15+ year career.

Whether covering families devastated by hurricanes for the local news to telling award- winning stories of NFL athletes overcoming unbelievable odds, the determination of the human spirit has always been at the heart of my work.

Producing with a purpose. When I choose to take on a project the goal is to make the viewers feel an emotional connection to the work. To give them a better perspective of the human condition and maybe learn something about themselves along the way.

Ridin’ Dirty examines how the immense weight of financial pressures can push everyday people to do unimaginable things. It explores how greed corrupts the wealthy and powerful. All while shining a light on the flaws in our capitalist system that allow people to be left behind and stripped of their dignity. The pacing and editing will echo the constant anxiety of what it feels like being broke.

When vape store manager George McCaffrey and his new hire, Black Cassidy, find $2 million in stolen money it sets off a chain of events that neither of them could ever imagine. The only problem: that big payday happens to belong to notorious kingpin, Frank “Cisco” Barnes. The decision leads George and Black on a chase through Houston’s underground, eventually joining forces with crafty Burlesque dancer, Kandi Corn.

Three outsiders from wildly different backgrounds find common ground in the struggles of growing up in poverty. The unlikely trio is pushed to their limits, dodging criminals, corrupt cops and a US Senator on their wild journey to financial freedom.

I envision the film as a modernized take on the Western; following our protagonists on a fast-paced, high-pressured adventure. The aim is to tell a story that is uniquely Houston. We’re taking viewers through parts of the city most haven't seen or choose not to, with a sharp lens on housing and income inequality.

How far will our protagonists go to keep the money? Will they survive the night?
